Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 1, 2026
This is the Privacy Policy for the North Shore Beef Hub. We refer to ourselves as “the Hub,” “we,” or “us” throughout. The Hub is operated by Handsome Henry LLC, a Massachusetts company.
This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, what we do with it, and what choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to us at info@nsbeefhub.com and we’ll explain it.
Who we are
The Hub is operated by Handsome Henry LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company. Throughout this policy, “Handsome Henry LLC,” “we,” “us,” and “the Hub” all refer to the same entity.
What we collect
We try to collect as little personal information as possible.
When you give us information directly:
- Your email address, if you subscribe to The Beef Line.
- Your name, email, and message, if you write to us through a form on the site.
- Your name, email, and submitted content, if you send us a story through the Share Your Story form.
When we collect information automatically:
- Standard analytics data: pages viewed, time on site, general location (city or region level), device type, and how you got to the site (search engine, link, or direct visit). We use this to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
- Cookies: small text files stored in your browser. The Cookies section below covers what they do and how to control them.
What we don’t collect:
- We don’t collect payment information. The Hub doesn’t sell anything directly.
- We don’t run user accounts. There’s nothing to log into.
- We don’t knowingly collect children’s data. See the Age section below.
How we use it
We use the information we collect for these purposes only:
- To send The Beef Line, our email newsletter, if you subscribed.
- To respond to messages you send us through Contact or Share Your Story.
- To understand how the site is used: which pages people visit, what’s working, what isn’t.
- To meet our legal obligations and protect the Hub from misuse or fraud.
We don’t sell your information. We don’t rent it. We don’t trade it. We don’t share it with advertisers.
The Beef Line (email)
The Beef Line is our email newsletter. If you subscribe, your email address is stored with our email provider, Klaviyo. Klaviyo is a third-party email platform with its own privacy practices.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, or by writing to us at info@nsbeefhub.com. When you unsubscribe, we remove your address from the active list.
We use Klaviyo for one purpose: sending The Beef Line. We don’t use it for retargeting, profile building, or behavioral advertising.
Contact and Share Your Story
If you send us a message through the Contact form, we keep your message and respond. We don’t add you to The Beef Line unless you check the opt-in box.
The same goes for Share Your Story. If we want to feature your story on the site or in The Beef Line, we’ll write to you first to confirm. We don’t publish reader submissions without permission.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. The Hub uses them sparingly:
- Essential cookies: required for the site to work, like remembering your cookie preferences.
- Analytics cookies: used by Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. We have IP anonymization enabled, which means Google does not receive your full IP address.
When you first visit the site, you’ll see a cookie consent banner. You can accept all cookies, decline non-essential cookies, or manage your preferences. Essential cookies cannot be turned off because the site won’t function without them.
You can also clear or block cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may affect how the site works.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the third-party providers that help us run the site. They are:
- Webflow, our website host. Webflow stores form submissions and basic site logs.
- Klaviyo, our email provider. Klaviyo stores email addresses for The Beef Line.
- Google Analytics, our analytics provider. Google receives anonymized analytics data.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy. We use them because they’re standard, reputable, and necessary to run the site.
We may also disclose information if required by law, for example in response to a valid subpoena or court order. We will not disclose information voluntarily for any other reason.
Security
The Hub uses SSL encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and the site. Our hosting provider (Webflow) and our email provider (Klaviyo) both use standard security practices to protect data on their servers.
No system is perfectly secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security. But we take real steps to protect the limited information we collect.
If you’re outside the United States
The Hub operates in the United States. The third-party providers we use (Webflow, Klaviyo, Google) are also based in the United States, and they may store and process information on servers located in the United States or other countries.
If you visit the site or subscribe from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the site, you agree to that transfer. United States privacy law may not provide the same protections as the law in your country.
Age
The Hub is not intended for children under the age of 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted information to us, write to us at info@nsbeefhub.com and we’ll remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we have about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete that information.
- Unsubscribe from The Beef Line.
- Opt out of analytics cookies.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at info@nsbeefhub.com. We will respond within 30 days.
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). EU and UK residents have additional rights under the GDPR. The Hub does not sell personal information to anyone, so the CCPA “do not sell” right does not apply, but all other rights do. Write to us at the address above to exercise any of them.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we’ll change the Effective Date at the top of the page. We’ll also announce material changes in The Beef Line if you’re subscribed. If you keep using the site after a change, that means you accept the updated policy.
