Beef Country

Five regions north of Boston. Greater Boston, the North Shore, Cape Ann, the Seacoast, and the Merrimack Valley. More than one hundred shops across dozens of towns. The North Shore roast beef sandwich, known around here as a Beef, has been part of life in Beef Country since the 1950s. In Beef Country, everybody already knows. The Hub is where you find it all.

THE NORTH SHORE ROAST BEEF

Top or bottom round, oven-roasted rare, sliced paper-thin. Piled onto a toasted, buttered roll with extra-heavy mayo, James River Barbecue Sauce, and white American cheese. That combination has a name—a Three-Way.

What’s a Three-Way?

The Classic Order

The Three-Way is the classic combination: extra-heavy mayo, James River BBQ Sauce, and white American cheese. All three on a Beef. That’s the gold standard.

How to Order

Walk up like you’ve been here a hundred times. Junior, Regular, or Super. The person behind the counter knows exactly what to do.

First time?

Say “Super Three-Way, extra sauce.” They’ll take it from there.

Around here, that’s a three-way.
